the old 8 bore were regulated for 270 grains of FFg Black powder but the more modern ones were nitro proofed .Is anyone able to tell what load (and type) of modern smokeless powder w'd mimick the power of the 270-300 grains of BP (pyrodex not allowed obviously) Alternatively ,is anyone knowing the smokeless powder load and type able to prop^pel a 1250 grains cast bullet at 1330-1350ft/s in a 26'barrel? thanks and greetings from France |
